2010 Light the Night Walk

We have formed a team (F.L.U.S.H./Hawaii Kai Jaycees) for Light The Night Walk 2010 and we hope you will join us.  Light The Night Walk is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s evening walk and fundraising event.  It is the nation’s night to pay tribute and bring hope to thousands of people battling blood cancers and to commemorate loved ones lost.  It will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at Magic Island.

By joining our team and raising funds for this important cause, you’ll be
making a real impact on the fight against cancer.  On Walk night, you’ll
join us with other teams and individuals from all over our community in the
culmination of our efforts to find cures.  Walk night is a family-oriented
evening in which participants carry illuminated balloons, raise awareness of blood cancers and come together as a caring community.

We all know someone who has been affected by cancer.  Please join the team
and “walk the talk.”  Our team will be walking in honor of one of our very own HKJC members: Byron Nakasone.

Please go to www.lightthenight.org to join our team or to make a donation.  We appreciate any support in the cause so please find it in your hearts to give a little something.  Mahalo from the Hawaii Kai Jaycees.

You will then be directed to the meal room for dinner.  After your meal you are free to look at the items and bid on if you are interested!  Yes!  You can bid on items!!  After a certain time, a separator will close between rooms for a live auction.  We will then be combining the auction items.  Later after the live auction has been completed, we will then need to assist with the pick up of auction items for Adult Friends for Youth!!

Things you may need to know:

Wednesday - any attire is fine.
Friday - please dress up in evening attire.  No shorts/t-shirts/slippers allowed.
Friday there will also be a parade in Waikiki, please plan accordingly so you don’t get stuck in parade traffic.
Parking - I am still finding information on the parking ticket.  Please park at the Sheraton parking.
